you know, every so often while roaming the berlin streets being totally drunk, shaking my ass in some illegal club or just doing some hookers and blow at strange private parties, people will come over saying “eeaaayyyh, dom, old synth rapist, i always wanted to ask you about that FM synthesis thing, i mean, what gives? i don’t get it at all, can’t you suggest me a book or something being the old wise binary punk tech titan?”

and i always answer: sure, the mother of all FM books is “”Fm Theory and Applications: By Musicians for Musicians” by John Chowning & David Bristow.
Chowning invented FM synthesis, means he actually has a clue about it.
