VOX JamVox – or how dumb are guitarists?!

ok, now there’s also a guitar amp modelling software from vox, the good old amp builders… and it’s kind of a stand alone product, no VST, but hey, it includes an ugly stereo speaker that more or less looks like a guitar amp. or better: like the siamese twins version of ugly active pc speakers straight from da 90s.
woohey! great!

it’s ok to target guitarists that way. no grief.
often they just don’t want to know anything about hosts, vsts, latency compensation whatever… but at least on the german website there’s this ingenious statement when explaining the magical GXT function – guitar extraction out of a mixed stereo signal (aka the karaoke machine for your 6string):

“Natürlich liegen die Gitarrenspuren, je nach Song, sehr unterschiedlich im Stereopanorama verteilt. Meistens Rechts, Links oder in der Mitte.”

AAAAAARGH!

in english it would be more or less: “obviously, and depending on the song, the guitar tracks are panned to different panorama positions in the mix – mostly to the right, left or in the middle”.

hmpf.
