i never understood completely why guitar hero was/is so successfull (why not spending the same time to learn how to rock a real guitar and being able to impress the girls at the next camp fire even without electricity and a tv set?!) and that it somehow even started some kind of new category of games but i’m happy to see that Alesis now announced a “deluxe replacement” drum controller for the “Rock Band” game.
Looks like it is playable, will come for 299 eurocredtis and is not only usable to play the game but to control your favourite “insert hardware/software that produces drum sounds thingie”.

… hach, nochmal ein beitrag auf deutsch, ist ja eher von lokaler bedeutung. wer, wie die binary punks, seine pubertät im frühen digitalzeitalter in obskuren mailboxen verbrachte und auch noch weiss, was ein diskettenlocher ist oder die meldung “press play on tape” bedeutet, hat bei dieser meldung freudig gejauchzt: Haftstrafe ohne Bewährung für GvG
heute offenbar nur noch als abmahnsportler bekannt, hat er eigentlich schon in den frühen 90ern aufgrund seiner dubiosen vorgehensweise um jugendliche raubkopierer dingfest zu machen die ein odere andere haftstrafe verdient.
